In a career spanning over 25 years thus far, trumpeter and flugelhorn player John MacLeod is a central figure on the Canadian jazz scene. His work has been recorded on over 50 CDs to date, many of which are JUNO award winning recordings (i.e. Brian Dickinson’s In Transition, Mike Murley’s Two Sides). As well as being a core member of Rob McConnel and the Boss Brass, John is also recognized as a major force in musical composition and arrangement, writing for several projects including his own big band. John presently maintains an active freelance career and teaches composing and arranging at Humber College in Toronto. |
